"I was immediately comfortable with Dr. Holloman.  I knew she was an excellent surgeon, but I was even more impressed with how she really listened to me."

What is the advantage of using a laser over more traditional scalpels for cosmetic surgery?
The laser is an invisible, intense beam of light that can be precisely focused to a pinpoint and used instead of a scalpel. Because the laser seals blood vessels as it cuts, bleeding is almost nonexistent. This advantage provides clear and beautiful anatomy at the time of cosmetic surgery and much less bruising after surgery which makes for a faster recovery time. Dr. Sterling Baker is the pioneer who developed the techniques and applications using the laser for eyelid surgeries. His first paper on the subject was published in 1984.back to top

How much time will it take to recover from facial cosmetic surgery?
Lasers provide the advantage of much less bruising after surgery which makes for a faster recovery time. For simple eyelid surgeries, it is close to one week. For more involved surgeries, it may be more like 10-14 days. The doctors will be able to more closely estimate your recovery time. back to top

What kind of anesthesia will I need?
We routinely perform almost all surgeries with local anesthesia and conscious sedation. You will be comfortably sleeping without pain and will be breathing on your own. We reserve general anesthesia for those rare occasions where it is necessary. back to top

Where do you perform cosmetic surgeries?
We most often perform cosmetic surgeries in Oklahoma City at the Foundation Surgery Center of Oklahoma, which is in the same building as our office. Please view map here.
We also have privileges at several local hospitals. back to top

What kind of care will I need after cosmetic surgery?
All patients having cosmetic surgery need a driver to take them to and from the operating facility. We like to see patients in our clinic office the day after surgery. It is usually appropriate to have a driver take you to this appointment also. Within a day or two, most patients will be able to drive and care for themselves as before.back to top

What is an Oculoplastic Surgeon and why have an Oculoplastic Surgeon perform my procedure?
An Oculoplastic Surgeon is a physician with 4 or more years of specialized surgical training regarding the eye and surrounding structures. Also known as Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons, they are experts in eyelids, eyebrows, and the upper face and how they work in concert to protect the eye and vision.  They are best qualified to perform these delicate cosmetic surgeries and also provide any care that the eye itself may need. back to top

Are the doctors Board Certified?
Yes, both doctors are Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology demonstrating their surgical and clinical competence.  back to top
